Guys, we have a new member! Welcome Laurel!!! I totally know who you are. I think we met at the brass bear with Maryanne once. I'm so glad you are joining us especially since people are dropping like flies around here! You and Camille are on the same track so it will be good to bounce things off each other. I'm telling you the most important thing is to keep a food journal. You can do it here or on your own... it's up to you! I'm glad you found us.
Sunday went well, I had to make scones for all our friends and I wanted to eat one really bad! Miraculously, I did not! (applause!!) Tomorrow I can feel the toast approaching my lips!! Here we go phase two. Everyone else is kinda in different stages but Leslee, Lisa W and I are all done with the first 2 weeks... We are celebrating by going to see "Maid of Honor" tomorrow night! I think it is a good idea to reward ourselves for the past two weeks, no matter what your progress. That doesn't mean we should do it with food...but something fun, like a pedicure or a night out with friends. Anyway, here is my Sunday food log... love you guys!
Breakfast-
Milk/caffix splenda (ran out of eggs...duh!)
Cashews
Lunch
Turkey paddie with cheese and salsa (surprisingly good!)
Snack-
red peppers and low fat laughing cow cheese
Dinner-
Camille's cucumber salad with red peppers, avocado, cucumber, red onion, s/p, lemon juice...................mmmmmmmmmmmm so good!!!!!!
milk/caffix and splenda!
so that's it! If I can make it thru tonight, I've made it through the first 2 weeks!

Way to go all girls done with 2 weeks! Weekend was torture but I survived it!
Sunday:
Fast sunday was sooo hard. I know you are not supposed to gripe but it seemed especially hard since I didn't have any carb stores.
Lunch- 3 peices sugar free candy, steak, 2 ribs and a huge salad with black bean salsa and some ranch. I know ranch probably isn't the best but I was feeling desperate to indulge a little at sunday dinner.
Dessrt - jello with whip topping
Recipe: For all those moving on to phase 2
Protein packed pancakes:
Put the following in the blender
1 cup raw oatmeal. not quick oats
1 cup low fat cottage cheese
4 egg whites
1TBL splenda
mexican vanilla
dash of cinnamon or nutmeg
Mix it
add blueberries
can top with sugar free syrup or whip topping
Thanks for the welcome Mandi! I can't wait to hear about your toast today :)
I'll try to post my daily meals here, but either way I will be keeping a journal.
Today--
Breakfast: milk, almonds, string cheese
Lunch: chicken and black bean salad, diet coke
Snack: celery
Dinner: turkey and cheese two-egg omelet
Oh, it was so good to finally eat some brown rice. I am looking forward to my oatmeal today, and maybe a tortilla tomorrow.
I love that I am healthy now. I always kind of categorized people into that group like they were cool, so now I guess I can consider myself cool! Plus I might live longer and everything.
